Using Feaure Pages
Like variety? Cornerstone 2.0 comes with an alternate page layout for anyone who wants to mix things up a bit or feature something special on their site. To use this option, simply assign the ‘Feature Page’ template to a new or existing page you’ve written in Wordpress.
To modify the “footer” portion of the page (which is hand-coded), look for feature_page.php within your themes folder. Open it up in your favorite text editor to make changes, then FTP it when you’re done! (You can of course, also do this without an HTML editor right from the WordPress admin).
Creating multiple “feature” pages is easy too. Because the footer section is actually part of the template page, just duplicate the entire file and give it a new name. You can then write your content in WordPress as you normally would, assign your new template to the page, and modify the footer section (as before) in your text editor to reflect the different content!
Incidentally this page template looks best when using the built-in functionality of custom fields for the lead image. Adding an image from within the Write > Page panel works just fine, but if you use this method you’ll notice the title gets shifted to the left above the graphic rather than above the text.
