Cornerstone 2.0 is a fixed width, magazine style layout. The upper portion of the sidebar is wide enough to house videos or a variety of ad banner sizes to fit your needs. The lower portion is split into two columns, providing plenty of options for displaying category links, popular posts, flickr photos, etc.

The theme is widget ready with four enabled areas. For those who prefer not to use widgets, the sidebar is coded with conditional tags to give you more precise control over what content shows up where.

“Latest Entry” automatically displayed without the need for a separate category or additional plugin
Asides (or any category you want to assign as a side blog) in the sidebar
Full control over “Recent” excerpts, which categories to pull from, and how many to show

Similar Posts - offer more exposure for older posts, based on tags or keywords or both, and easily customize those preferences right in the WP admin.
Excerpt Editor - A magazine style layout relies heavily on the use of excerpts and Cornerstone has a built in cut-off for them to keep the layout intact. If you'd like more control over this feature however, you'll have it with this plugin.
