FAQ

Why should I buy a theme from Design Adaptations?

Premium themes provide an alternative to contracting expensive custom design work for anyone using WordPress as a publishing platform or content manager. More specifically, online magazines, newspapers, and/or community based sites will find Cornerstone 2.0 very useful. For designers, Cornerstone offers a foundation from which to build client sites, significantly reducing development time.

Do your themes require any plugins?

Each theme is designed with the intent of maximizing content exposure, and this is done largely by manipulating function calls within the Loop or snippets of code which can be found in the WP codex. While there are some plugins specifically supported (and ideally recommended), none are required for a theme to work out of the box.

Can I modify a theme however I want?

You are encouraged to adapt these themes to suit your needs. The color scheme, font styles, layout and any other component of each design can be changed from within the well-commented CSS file. I’ve also written some tutorials to help you configure your posts, tabbed content and more. If you get stuck, theme support (via email) is included with purchase, and a forum will soon be in development as well.

Are you available to do custom work?

New theme development and existing theme support keep me quite occupied, but I am available for custom design projects as time allows. I’m also available on an hourly basis to do theme modifications should you find yourself in need. If you’re interested in custom work, please contact me for rates and availability.

Can I use your themes for client projects?

With purchase of the Developer Edition(s), yes. The ability to offer (and deliver) a quick turn-around is often critical to designers. This option allows for unrestricted use of a theme, with no attribution required.

Are your themes available for resell?

No reseller option is available for any of the theme listings, so you may not resell them in any form. I am considering an affiliate program once Press and Solidarity are officially released. Let me know if you’re interested!
